This series of discussions explores how cities have been imagined as contagious and the racial and gendered norms that inform those imaginations. The Contagion Podcast discussions will complement our Religion and Cities AAR November “Contagion, Religion, and Cities panel. We begin each episode with a brief overview of the work being discussed and its contribution to the field and how it might help us interpret lived experiences in the time of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is followed by the author’s response when possible, followed by open discussion and questions by all who are able to join.
